Model United Nations is offered as both an elective course and as an extracurricular activity for junior high and high school students at CISS. Students meet to discuss, debate, and propose viable solutions to some of the world's most pressing issues ranging from abortion to the growing global energy crisis.
The Model United Nations team annually hosts a simulation for local bilingual schools in El Salvador and for international school guests from across Central America. In addition, the CISS Model United Nation team also participates in international competitions. In the past, the team has sent delegations to simulations in Orlando, Florida and Monterrey, Mexico.
