Goals for Economics "Page"

What are your initial ideas about economics?  What is the purpose or point of economics?  How do economists think, and what do they think about?

Based upon your previous knowledge/ideas, the first two sections of chapter 1 from Glencoe's Economics: Principle and Practices, Timothy Taylor's Lecture "How Economists Think," and the first few days of class, write one page (typed) in response to the questions above.

In addition, to the above "Goals for Economics," include your own goals and expectations for this class.  You may include specific topics you'd like to cover, questions you have, and/or recommendations for our class (format, activities, structure, projects, etc.).

Click here for a link to Timothy Taylor's Economics, Part I. (Third Edition) Lecture Outlines/Notes.

Page due in class on Friday, August 19.
