August Essay Opportunity

After watching Taylor's introductory lecture, "How Economists Think," what are you thinking about economics?  Write a one page essay sharing your thoughts on the subject.  You may choose to weigh in on any of the points made by Taylor, relate something you saw on the news, read recently, or found while pursuing Chapter 1 in your text.  The good and bad sides of competitive urges? The scarcity v. distribution debate?  Hard minds, soft hearts?  Or anything else.  I look forward to receiving a neat, proofed, one physical page version of your ideas promptly at the start of class on Friday, August 22.
