First Quarter Book Presentations, October 20-22, 2014

Choose ONE of the following options to include in your five minute presentation on your first quarter independent reading project.  Your presentations should be sure to touch upon the five key points (author, setting, characters, plot development, theme).  You'll want to present your book in a way that intrigues your classmates and inspires them to read your book, too.

*Please remember that it is your responsibility to save ALL work to the Class Dropbox Folder.  This is the ONLY way to submit your project.  Please save your file, "Your Full Name, Your Book Title."

1. Create an original movie trailer that persuades your audience while showing specific details of the book that relate to the book's development and theme.  Some helpful sites:

Book Trailers for Readers

Animoto
Windows Movie Maker
Wondershare Top 10 Sites
Auras

Remember some sites may charge a small fee, but you should also be able to use trial or free versions of the above.  You do NOT need to purchase any software to complete this option.

2. Podcast. Retell portions of your story, complete with background music and sound effects, to demonstrate your understanding of tone, characters' voice, setting, and theme.  Some helpful sites:

AudioBoom
Audacity
GarageBand

Again, remember some sites may charge a small fee, but you should also be able to use trial or free versions of the above.  You do NOT need to purchase any software to complete this option.

3. Choose Your Own Adventure. Create a storyboard of what actually happened as well as two other storyboards showing other possible outcomes.  In other words, share the story that the author wrote as well as two other possible outcomes had characters or settings made for different pivotal, decisions.
